WaveDNA has collaborated with the research team at the SMART lab, Ryerson University, on various aspects of music that are relevant to its technology. The studies include music perception and cognition, music and emotion, melody recognition, and listener preferences to music. Read up on the research that either directly went into WaveDNA’s technology or indirectly influenced WaveDNA’s algorithms, using a combination of behavioural and computational methods.

Glen Kappel, Lead Researcher at WaveDNA, Dr. Frank Russo, Director of Ryerson’s SMART Lab, and Dr. Naresh Vempala, Research Associate at Ryerson’s SMART lab, lead the research collaborations between WaveDNA and Ryerson’s SMART Lab.
