Michael Valenti aka DJ Miracle aka Miracle Incession, signed and affiliated with Don’t Look Productions. Do you remember your first introduction to music software? Back in high school, Fasttracker 2 and Scream Tracker… old DOS programs, does this make me old? Often times users of music production…

Returning Sun Charity Event Video

As we mentioned a couple days ago, we were very proud to part of the Returning Sun charity event. Allison, our support superhero and also our team’s video guru, put together this video in between…

Quick Export (MIDI/Audio)

Gather around kids, I have a tale to tell. The WaveDNA development team was starry eyed and bushy tailed at the end of 2012. You see, we had built our standalone application called Liquid Loops (later it grew up to be renamed Liquid Rhythm), and decided it needed to have friends. Music software will have play dates if it implements a plugin interface such as VST/AU/RTAS/AAX. We sat down and…

Tyler Hayes – Reinventing MIDI For A Big Data World

Tyler Hayes Article: Standardized for 30 years, MIDI continues to be useful to a lot of musicians despite its age. Still, WaveDNA is trying to improve MIDI and give it a new outlook on life. Like a lot of older technologies past their prime, MIDI was widely implemented and so it remains key for a lot of musicians–even some 30 years later. With an older standard comes the headaches of…

DJ Shine dives into Novation’s Launchpad S

The WaveDNA team is incredibly happy to have Jason Spanu back at the office. For a period in the past summer, we lost Jason, he went completely dark, as he was on tour across Canada, US and Europe. Jason is also known as DJ Shine, he is an Ableton Certified Trainer, and he is an incredibly passionate musician. It is always inspirational when Jason is at the WaveDNA Lab, simply…
