The big Mau5 gets a taste of techno fromage.

The announcement that Deadmau5 was to release a techno EP on Plus 8 Records a few weeks back took to the underground and started talks between numerous blogs and techno heads across the world.  Plus 8 records (founded by Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva) hasn’t seen any releases for almost two years now and as Richie Hawtin said, “it seemed fitting that this record in particular, made by another skinny white kid from Canada, became part of the label’s collection and history.”  Deadmau5 (a.k.a. Joel Zimmerman) released the EP under the alias ‘testpilot’ and since then has been showing a noticeable change in his selected sound.  His latest recorded set showcases the genre’s eclectic sound and he even includes some popular samples of his own.  Check out the videos below for his recorded mix and his first techno release on Plus 8 Records.
